Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Sligo Fones & Tech Limited, trading as IT HUB (company number 807014, VAT number IE4598198DH), Unit 1, The Canopy Shopping Centre, O’Connell Street, Sligo, F91 XPN2 (“IT HUB”, “we”) uses your personal information when you shop with us online or in the shop, book a repair or sell us a device.

What we collect

Your name, phone number, email address and delivery address.
Details of your orders, repairs and trade-ins, including device serial numbers and IMEI numbers.
For trade-ins, photo ID, as the law requires us to check who is selling a second-hand device.
Basic website information, such as pages visited. We don’t store your IP address in our visitor counts.

We never see or store your full card details. Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Klarna payments are handled by Stripe.

Why we use it

To take and deliver your order, carry out repairs and pay you for trade-ins (to perform our contract with you).
To send order, repair and warranty emails and messages you’d expect from us.
To keep accounts and records the law requires, such as VAT records.
To prevent fraud and the sale of stolen devices (our legitimate interest).

We only send marketing if you’ve agreed to it, and you can stop it at any time.

Who we share it with

Only the companies that help us run the business: Stripe and Klarna (payments), An Post and our couriers (delivery), our website host and email provider, and Google (maps and reviews, only if you accept those cookies). We don’t sell your information.

How long we keep it

Order and sales records are kept for 6 years for tax reasons. Trade-in records and ID checks are kept as long as the law requires. Passcodes given for a repair are deleted when you collect the device. Photos you send with a trade-in request are deleted when the request is finished.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to run the shop and your basket. Maps, videos and analytics only load if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us at info@ithub.ie. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
